Eight-year-olds and up will benefit by the Bible-based teaching offered. Throughout the day—from the exciting biographies highlighted in U. S. history and Bible classes to the development of good character for life, reading with expression, study in evangelism, and the experience of juggling fun—a Christian worldview gives a firm foundation for the studies offered.
Registration fee is $5 per student or $10 per family, and cost is $10 per student per session. Families prepaying for the entire nine-week session will receive a 20% discount per student per week. Families with three or more children prepaying will have their registration waived and receive an additional 10% discount per student per week.
Call 1-850-478-3466 to register today!
First Quarter Classes Include
Evangelism for Students (ages 11 and up)
Just how important is evangelism in the life of a Christian? Students will discover the answer to this and other questions as they study Jesus, the perfect Evangelist, and the biblical methods practiced by Him, the apostles, and other faithful witnesses throughout the centuries. The Bible with its perfect examples will be the foremost curriculum used. Key figures from more recent history, both familiar and not so familiar, will also be highlighted. Students will be introduced to object lessons and tools that illustrate God's plan of salvation to the lost.
U. S. History - Highlight on Biographies
History--sadly, for many students--just an endless and dreary heap of names, faces, and dates! But how can that be? There are so many exciting accounts of how God has worked through men and women "to shew Himself strong" (I Chronicles 16:9). Don't let your students? understanding of history be drained of life and interest. In this class, students will be personally introduced to well-known as well as little-known characters in American history. A better understanding of their nation's heritage will make them better prepared to act as good Christians and good citizens of their country. "History, by appraising...[the students] of the past, will enable them to judge of the future." Thomas Jefferson
Character Qualities
Character! That is what parents desire for their children, what employers like to see in their workers. It is what makes the difference between being "a person of the times" and "a person for the times." It is what causes individuals to rise up in the face of challenges and to do what is right, and it is what is lacking in our society. In this class students will learn some key qualities and how to identify them. Captivating stories from Scripture, history, creation, and personal testimonies will inspire students to exhibit those traits. Students will be challenged to learn to see life from God's point of view. They will memorize empowering Scripture and exciting songs and learn how to make practical application of what they have learned in their lives. Character does count! Students will also be shown that only through abiding in Jesus Christ can one have true godly character.
Bible Characters
Does your student know Othniel, Jonadab the Rechabite, the three "Elisabeths," or the five daughters of Zelophahad!? During these sessions students will learn of many heroes (and villains) that may be new to them and also dig deeper into the lives of some old friends. They'll be encouraged to read the Bible themselves to find out more, and then share with others what the Lord has taught them through those Bible characters.
Juggling
Students will learn how to impress their friends with this newfound skill. They will also work on their hand-eye coordination. Juggling is a great hobby and is a wonderful way to relax and relieve stress.
Speech
The art of speaking is for everyone. Learn how to communicate effectively and conquer stage fright. In this low stress-level class, students will have plenty of opportunities to practice speaking in front of small groups.
Reading with Expression
In this class students will listen as a master reader shows how to make oral reading come alive. Students will have opportunities in a friendly atmosphere to participate in oral readings of interesting and fun literature.
